KerberTech Earns Top Prize
Ankeny, IA – March 15, 2009 – Kerber Technology Solutions, LLC (KerberTech) has won a $10,000 market research prize during the 2009 EntreFest! entrepreneurship conference.
Entrefest! 2009 was held on March 5-6 in Coralville, Iowa. Entrefest! is an annual, two day event promoting entrepreneurship and small business development in the Midwest.
Strategic Marketing Services (SMS) offered a market research prize to the winning applicant of over 250 registered attendees. The applications were distributed upon registration on the first day of the conference and were due back in by 2:00 that afternoon.
The challenge was taken up by 51 entrepreneurs, including KerberTech founder, Jake Kerber. A team of judges reduced those down to the top 6 most deserving of the reward. Then another round followed, during which all 6 candidates were individually interviewed by SMS. In the end, KerberTech was chosen as the winner.
Criteria for selecting the winner included: merit of the business or innovation idea and its ability to become a success in the marketplace; and the level of benefit that market research could provide to the business idea.
